History


SILIOS TECHNOLOGIES is a private held company created in July 2001 by Laurent Roux, Stéphane Tisserand and Michel-Jean Dupré, an experienced team in creation and management of High-Tech companies.

It is a spin-off from ION BEAM SERVICES (IBS), European leader in Ion Implantation, specialised in microtechnologies and microelectronics.


 

2008: SILIOS launches mini-spectrometers for chemical analysis and process control for applications in water treatment, agro-food, petrochemistry, medical or microelectronics.

2006: SILIOS supplements its range of products with standards for the calibration of nanometric vertical dimensions for metrology.

2004: SILIOS delivers its first phase screens for simulation of atmospheric turbulence in astronomy.

2003: SILIOS strengthening
· First financing round: 1,3M€ (Vizille Capital Innovation, TechFund Capital Europe, Primaveris, 123Multinova)
· Development of micro-optics activities (Diffractive Optical Elements)
· First sales in Q1 2003

2002 : SILIOS development
· Passive Prototypes (splitters, mode converters…)
· Joint development with customers
· ANVAR financial support - 310 K€
· Selected as Best 40’s - Capital IT (best start-ups of the year)
· Winner of the “Concours National-Création et Développement” (innovative technology)

2001 : SILIOS creation
· Contract with IBS - Cession of IP and Technical Support
· Contract with Fresnel Institute - Research Collaboration
· Development of I3O® Technology first elements
· Winner of the “Concours National – Emergence” (innovative technology)

1990 - 2000 : SILIOS history inside IBS
· Ph.D. Thesis: Waveguide feasibility
· Adaptation to the telecom specifications
· Establishment of I3O® Technology and Patents
